This Rider applies to customers using the Qatar TAZEET marketplace. It supplements the global customer policies. If there is a conflict, this Rider controls for Qatar, and mandatory Qatari law always prevails.

Platform and seller

TAZEET operates the electronic marketplace. Unless expressly identified as seller, TAZEET is not the merchant of third-party products. The independent seller shown on the product, order, or invoice is responsible for lawful sale, authenticity, quality, safety, price, dated invoice, warranty, and mandatory customer remedies. TAZEET remains responsible for duties Qatari law assigns directly to it.

Electronic commerce

Customers must receive the identity, product, price, payment, delivery, cancellation, warranty, and other information required for lawful electronic contracting. Electronic records and acceptance may be used as recognized by Qatari law.

Consumer protection

Sellers must provide accurate product information, visible prices, required warnings and instructions, dated invoices, and lawful after-sales remedies. Defective, adulterated, unsafe, expired, counterfeit, or misdescribed goods are prohibited. Mandatory repair, replacement, refund, withdrawal, or recall rights cannot be removed by policy.

Privacy

Personal information is processed for specific lawful purposes with appropriate security under applicable Qatari privacy requirements and the Privacy Policy. Marketing or unrelated reuse requires a lawful basis. Customers may exercise available rights subject to legal exceptions.

Tax and invoices

The Qatar General Tax Authority states that VAT has not been applied as of this policy’s publication date. Customers should not be charged an amount represented as Qatar VAT unless and until legally authorized. Other lawful product, customs, excise, delivery, or service charges may apply and must be disclosed.

Complaints and governing law

Start with the order or Contact Us process. You may also contact the competent Qatar consumer, privacy, product-safety, payment, or judicial authority. The laws of the State of Qatar govern, subject to mandatory jurisdiction and remedies. Arabic may prevail where required in an official proceeding.

Reference frameworks

Relevant frameworks include Decree-Law No. 16 of 2010 Promulgating the Electronic Transactions and Commerce Law, Law No. 8 of 2008 on Consumer Protection, Law No. 13 of 2016 on Protecting Personal Data Privacy, and official Ministry of Commerce and Industry and General Tax Authority requirements.
