Seller Terms & Conditions
Last updated: June 22, 2026 | Effective Date: June 22, 2026 | Applies to: All Registered Vendors
Binding Agreement: By registering as a Seller on Tazeet Marketplace, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by these Seller Terms & Conditions, the Tazeet Terms & Conditions, and all other applicable platform policies. These documents collectively form the binding agreement between you and TAZARA FZ-LLC.
1. Seller Eligibility & Registration
To register and operate as a Seller on Tazeet Marketplace, you must:
- Be a legally registered business entity or a self-employed individual with full legal capacity to enter into binding commercial agreements.
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Hold any licences, registrations, or permits required by applicable law in your jurisdiction to sell the products you intend to list.
- Have a valid bank account or payment method capable of receiving payouts.
- Successfully complete Tazeet's registration and verification process.
- Not have previously been suspended or banned from the Tazeet platform.
Tazeet reserves the right to reject any seller application at its sole discretion without providing reasons.
2. Seller Account & Dashboard
- Upon successful registration, you will be granted access to the Tazeet Seller Central at sellercentral.tazeet.pk.
- You are solely responsible for maintaining the security and confidentiality of your Seller account credentials.
- All activities conducted through your Seller account are your sole responsibility, whether or not authorised by you.
- You must ensure that all information in your Seller profile — including business name, address, contact details, and banking information — is accurate, current, and complete at all times.
- You must notify Tazeet immediately at support@tazeet.pk if you suspect any unauthorised access to your account.
3. KYC, Identity Verification & Compliance
As part of Tazeet's commitment to marketplace integrity and regulatory compliance, all Sellers must complete a Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) verification process. You agree to provide:
- Valid government-issued identity documents (national ID, passport, or Emirates ID)
- Trade licence or business registration certificate
- VAT/tax registration number (where applicable)
- Bank account details for payout verification
- Any additional documentation requested by Tazeet or required by applicable law
You represent and warrant that all documents and information submitted are genuine, accurate, and not fraudulently obtained. Submission of false or misleading information will result in immediate account termination and may be reported to relevant authorities.
Tazeet may conduct periodic re-verification and may request updated documents at any time. Failure to comply within the specified timeframe may result in account suspension.
4. Listing Standards & Product Requirements
All product listings on the Platform must meet the following standards:
a. Accuracy & Honesty
- Product titles, descriptions, and specifications must be accurate, complete, and not misleading.
- All product attributes — including size, colour, material, weight, compatibility, and country of origin — must be correctly stated.
- Conditions (new, used, refurbished) must be accurately described.
- Any included accessories, warranties, or guarantees must be listed accurately.
b. Images
- All images must be clear, high-resolution, and accurately represent the product being sold.
- The main product image must show the product on a white or plain background.
- Images must not contain promotional text, watermarks, borders, or contact information.
- Images must not infringe any third-party copyright or intellectual property rights.
- Images sourced from third-party websites (e.g. manufacturer, supplier) may only be used with explicit permission.
c. GTINs & Product Identifiers
- Where applicable, products must include valid Global Trade Item Numbers (GTINs), barcodes, or manufacturer part numbers.
- Fabricated, false, or unverified GTINs must not be used under any circumstances.
d. Pricing
- Listed prices must reflect the true selling price inclusive of applicable taxes.
- Fictitious "original prices" or misleading crossed-out prices must not be used to create false impressions of discounts.
- Prices must not be set artificially low to attract clicks and then increased at checkout.
Tazeet reserves the right to edit, delist, or reject any listing that does not meet these standards, without prior notice.
5. Prohibited Products & Restricted Categories
The following products are strictly prohibited from being listed on the Platform:
- Counterfeit, replica, or unauthorised branded goods of any kind
- Products that infringe any third-party trademark, copyright, patent, or other intellectual property right
- Illegal drugs, narcotics, controlled substances, or drug-related paraphernalia
- Firearms, weapons, ammunition, or explosives
- Stolen goods or goods of uncertain or unlawful origin
- Pornographic or adult content
- Products involving endangered species or wildlife prohibited under CITES
- Hazardous chemicals or substances without proper certification and compliance documentation
- Unapproved medical devices, unlicensed pharmaceuticals, or products making unverified health claims
- Any product prohibited by UAE Federal Law, Pakistani law, Qatari law, or the laws of any market in which you sell
Certain product categories (e.g. electronics, food products, health and beauty, children's toys) may require additional certifications, safety standards compliance, or regulatory approvals. Tazeet will communicate category-specific requirements through Seller Central. It is your sole responsibility to ensure compliance before listing.
6. Pricing & Promotions
- You have full control over the pricing of your products, subject to Tazeet's marketplace policies.
- Tazeet may offer promotional tools (vouchers, flash sales, bundle deals) through Seller Central. Participation is voluntary unless otherwise agreed.
- You must ensure your prices on Tazeet are competitive and not artificially inflated relative to other channels.
- Tazeet reserves the right to suppress listings where prices are found to be unreasonably high compared to market benchmarks, particularly for essential goods.
- Price manipulation, artificial inflation, or collusion with other Sellers to fix prices is strictly prohibited and may constitute a violation of applicable competition law.
7. Commission, Fees & Payments
a. Commission
Tazeet charges a commission fee on each completed sale. Commission rates are category-specific and are communicated through Seller Central. Commission is calculated on the total selling price including VAT, before deducting shipping charges.
b. Other Fees
Additional fees may apply for: optional promotional placements, featured listings, fulfilment services (where available), and any other value-added services offered through Seller Central. All applicable fees will be clearly communicated before activation.
c. Payouts
- Seller payouts are processed on a regular schedule communicated through Seller Central, subject to a minimum payout threshold.
- Payouts are net of Tazeet's commission, applicable fees, refunds, returns, and chargebacks.
- Tazeet may withhold payouts where there is a suspicion of fraud, a high volume of disputes, or pending investigations.
- You are responsible for providing accurate and up-to-date bank account details. Tazeet is not liable for failed or delayed payouts resulting from incorrect banking information.
d. Chargebacks & Disputes
In the event of a payment chargeback initiated by a Buyer, the disputed amount will be deducted from your Seller balance pending resolution. If the chargeback is upheld, you will bear the full cost of the chargeback plus any associated processing fees.
8. Order Fulfilment & Shipping
- You are solely responsible for fulfilling all confirmed Orders within the dispatch time committed in your listing.
- You must provide valid shipment tracking information for all Orders promptly upon dispatch.
- Products must be packaged securely and appropriately to prevent damage in transit.
- You must use reliable, trackable courier services. Untracked shipments that result in non-delivery disputes will be decided in the Buyer's favour.
- If you are unable to fulfil an Order (e.g. due to stock unavailability), you must cancel it promptly through Seller Central and notify Tazeet. Repeated cancellations will negatively affect your seller performance rating and may result in suspension.
- You are responsible for all export documentation and compliance required for cross-border shipments from your jurisdiction.
9. Returns, Refunds & Disputes
- You must honour Tazeet's platform-wide Refund & Return Policy as the minimum standard for all returns and refunds.
- You may offer a more generous return policy than the platform minimum but may not offer less.
- Where a Buyer raises a dispute or return request, you must respond within 48 hours through Seller Central.
- Tazeet's customer support team may intervene in unresolved disputes and Tazeet's decision shall be final and binding on both parties.
- Where a return is accepted, you must process the refund within 3 business days of receiving the returned product.
- Tazeet reserves the right to issue a refund to a Buyer on your behalf and deduct the amount from your Seller balance where you fail to respond to a dispute within the required timeframe.
10. Customer Service Standards
- You must respond to all Buyer enquiries and messages within 24 hours on business days.
- You must handle all customer interactions professionally, respectfully, and in accordance with Tazeet's community standards.
- You must not contact Buyers outside the Platform to conduct transactions, offer refunds, or request removal of negative reviews.
- You must not incentivise, request, or manipulate Buyers to leave positive reviews or remove negative ones.
- Failure to maintain satisfactory customer service standards will negatively impact your seller rating and may result in account restrictions.
11. Intellectual Property
- You represent and warrant that you hold all necessary rights, licences, and permissions to list and sell the products on the Platform, including any intellectual property rights.
- You must not list, sell, or promote counterfeit goods, unauthorised reproductions, or goods that infringe any third-party patent, trademark, copyright, or design right.
- By submitting product images, descriptions, and content to the Platform, you grant Tazeet a worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, display, reproduce, and adapt such content for the purpose of operating and promoting the Platform and your listings.
- If Tazeet receives a valid intellectual property infringement complaint against your listing, the listing will be removed pending investigation. Repeat infringement will result in permanent account termination.
- You agree to indemnify Tazeet fully against any claims, costs, and damages arising from intellectual property infringement related to your listings.
12. VAT, Tax & Regulatory Obligations
- You are solely responsible for determining, collecting, reporting, and remitting all applicable taxes — including VAT, GST, income tax, and customs duties — in all jurisdictions where you sell.
- If you are VAT-registered in the UAE (required for businesses with taxable supplies exceeding AED 375,000 per year), you must provide your valid TRN (Tax Registration Number) in Seller Central and ensure your prices are correctly inclusive of VAT.
- Tazeet may be required by law to collect and remit certain taxes on behalf of Sellers in specific jurisdictions. Where this applies, it will be communicated through Seller Central.
- You must comply with all applicable product safety regulations, import/export laws, and consumer protection laws in all markets where your products are sold.
- Tazeet is not responsible for your tax filings, regulatory compliance, or any penalties arising from non-compliance.
13. Seller Liability & Indemnification
You accept full and sole liability for:
- The accuracy, legality, and quality of your product listings and the products themselves.
- Any product defects, safety issues, or injuries caused by products you sell.
- Any intellectual property infringement related to your products or listings.
- Customer claims, chargebacks, and returns arising from your Orders.
- Your compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Any damage caused to Tazeet's reputation, platform, or users as a result of your conduct.
You agree to fully defend, indemnify, and hold harmless TAZARA FZ-LLC, Tazeet Marketplace, and their affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your activities as a Seller on the Platform.
14. Seller Performance Standards
Tazeet monitors Seller performance through Seller Central using key metrics including:
| Metric | Minimum Standard |
|---|---|
| Order Defect Rate (ODR) | Below 1% |
| Late Dispatch Rate | Below 4% |
| Order Cancellation Rate | Below 2.5% |
| Buyer Message Response Rate | Above 90% within 24 hours |
| Seller Rating | Minimum 3.5 / 5.0 stars |
Sellers consistently falling below these standards may receive warnings, listing suppression, payout holds, account restrictions, or termination depending on the severity and duration of underperformance.
15. Account Suspension & Termination
Tazeet may suspend or permanently terminate your Seller account without prior notice for any of the following reasons:
- Listing counterfeit, prohibited, or restricted products
- Fraudulent activity, fake orders, fake reviews, or manipulation of Platform metrics
- Consistent failure to fulfil orders or maintain performance standards
- Repeated intellectual property infringement complaints
- Violation of any provision of these Seller Terms or the platform Terms & Conditions
- Non-compliance with KYC or regulatory requirements
- Conduct harmful to Buyers, other Sellers, or Tazeet's reputation
- Any activity that Tazeet reasonably believes violates applicable law
Upon termination, all active listings will be delisted immediately. Any pending payouts will be held for a minimum of 90 days pending resolution of outstanding Orders, returns, and disputes. Tazeet reserves the right to offset any amounts owed to it against pending payouts.
You may appeal a suspension decision by contacting support@tazeet.pk within 14 days of the suspension notice. Tazeet's decision on appeals is final.
16. Confidentiality & Data Protection
- As a Seller, you will have access to Buyer personal information (name, delivery address, phone number) for the sole purpose of fulfilling Orders.
- You must keep all Buyer data strictly confidential and must not use it for any purpose other than Order fulfilment.
- You must not contact Buyers for marketing purposes, share their data with third parties, or use their data in any way not authorised by Tazeet.
- You must comply with all applicable data protection laws, including UAE Federal Decree Law No. 45 of 2021 (PDPL), Pakistan PDPA, and any other applicable data protection frameworks.
- Upon termination of your Seller account, you must securely delete all Buyer personal data in your possession within 30 days.
17. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Seller Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. In the event of any dispute between you and Tazeet arising from or in connection with these Terms:
- The parties shall first attempt to resolve the dispute through good-faith negotiations within 14 business days of written notice.
- If unresolved, disputes shall be referred to the competent courts of Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, or by mutual written agreement, to arbitration under the rules of the RAK International Corporate Centre (RAKICC).
- For Sellers based in Pakistan, disputes may also be subject to the jurisdiction of the relevant Pakistani courts in accordance with applicable Pakistani law.
18. Changes to These Terms
Tazeet reserves the right to update or modify these Seller Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via Seller Central and email to your registered address at least 14 days before the effective date. Your continued use of the Seller platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
